MSc, BSc(Hons) HPC Reg, M.CH.S
Oliver qualified in 2006 from Huddersfield University school of Podiatry. He immediately worked for the NHS Podiatry service in North Devon and 4 years ago moved to Somerset to work as a Specialist in Biomechanics. On a daily basis he is able to obtain experience across a wide field including Diabetes, Biomechanics and Gait Analysis. Private practice was a natural progression and this evolved whilst working in parallel with the NHS.
He is originally from Shebbear and currently plays rugby for Bideford RFC and is known to many as the ‘matador’ because of his tackling.
However, Oliver is keen that a multidisciplinary approach is paramount in the field of Biomechanics and sought to work closely alongside an excellent physiotherapist to provide optimum treatment outcomes for the patients.
A Masters degree in Biomechanics and Sports injuries was gained in 2008 from Roehampton University. Olivers research on amputees was published in 2012 in a Para- Olympic special of the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics.
He strives to provide treatment that is evidence based, assessing and managing problems whilst striving to keep abreast of current evidence with continual professional development.
Oliver is very interested in every sporting activity and has a specialist interest in improving running performance, running injuries and postural problems. He successfully treats non sporting patients with Musculoskeletal problems, sportsmen and women including runners, Golf, footballers, rugby players, tennis players, golfers, athletes and members of the British Army.
His areas of speciality are Biomechanics, Advanced Gait Analysis, Paediatrics, Sports Injuries and Prescription of Orthoses.
